PACKAGING DESIGN & BRANDING
Dip-in Tiffin is a packaging solution designed for a breakfast brand that sells on transit stations like Airports, Train stations as well as Bus stops.
The design takes cues from traditional practices to make single-use takeaway food packaging eco-friendly, modular, eye-catching, and culturally relevant.
Setting up a few limitations to work under
The intent was to stick to minimum wastage as well as retain the cultural roots for the form.
Here used are Areca leaf bowls, that are locally produced and a strong source of employment for various craft communities.
Low cost and ease of availability
Replaces plastic packaging
Non-Toxic and 100% Bio-degradable
Using sketch underlays for the bowl
The packaging draws design inspiration from the traditional Indian tiffin lunchbox and boasts the ability to hold several containers within one unit.
The next step was to finalize a Visual Identity for the brand so that there could be a design language system developed for different components of the packaging.
